Yoga Class Descriptions
Yoga: A gentle form of exercise that seeks to unite mind, body and spirit. The focus is on long stretches in various yoga postures, combined with slow, deep breathing. Energize your body, improve flexibility and reduce back pain. Suitable for all levels. Level 2 is the next step up from Yoga Fundamentals.
Yoga Fundamentals: Learn postures, breathing and more.
Gentle Yoga: This class is wonderful for when you want to slow things down a bit and gradually work your way into the postures. Transitions are kept simple and modifications are given to help you adapt the practice to your unique body. Suitable for all levels.
Power Yoga: A vigorous style of yoga concentrating on strength and flexibility.
Vinyasa Yoga: A vigorous and flowing style of yoga in which the breath is used to move from one pose to another.
Pilates: A system of exercise designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Focus is on the core – the abdominals and back of the body.
Pilates Core: Develop core strength using rollers, rings and bands. Appropriate for all levels.
Pilates Challenge: Intensive Pilates choreography that builds from core basics. A fast paced class that requires knowledge of Pilates.
Barre Fusion Description
A non-impact, total mind/body workout that combines light weights, intense lower body work at the barre and an abdominal sequence. The exercises are balanced by deep, active stretches to create the long lean muscles dancers have!
An ancient Chinese martial art that consists of a series of slow movements designed to increase the body’s strength, range of motion and overall balance and the flow of chi, or vital energy, which is essential to maintaining good health. The Intro class is for everyone. Each week you will learn one new movement sequence so by the end of the 12 weeks, you will be able to attend the 60 minute class.
